La Costa Concordia, si trovava davanti l'Isola del Giglio, nel mar Tirreno, a pochi chilometri dalla costa della Toscana, quando per una manovra incauta, è andata a toccare gli scogli della isola.
Nelle prime ore sembrava un incidente stupido, come potete leggere l'articolo, scritto nei primissimi minuti riporta solo 3 morti ed alcuni feriti.
In realtà i morti furono 30, 2 dispersi, e oltre 100 feriti.
